Terms of membership
Revival Health and Leisure Club shall be operated as a property club owned by Heymaa Ltd and located at the Best Western Buckingham Hotel, A421 Bucks Road South, Buckingham, MK18 1RY. Aylesbury. The club will be administered by 3d Leisure or by another nominated person. The owner shall solely determine the facilities of the club; any amendment or replacement shall be at the owner’s discretion.
It is the aim of Revival Health and Leisure Club to provide a pleasurable part of your leisure time. To that end we have put together, some simple “terms of membership” which we hope will ensure all members are able to enjoy the club safely and without being inconvenienced.
We welcome all members’ comments and suggestions.
Access
- Members must present their Membership Card each time they visit the club. The club reserves the right to refuse entry without presentation of these items.
- Any member attending the club without a valid Membership Card may be asked for proof of identification. Membership cards are only for use by the member and are not transferable under any circumstances.
- Card swipe/scan only applicable upon entry.
- A replacement fee of £3 will be charged for any and all lost Membership Cards.
- Entry will be refused to anybody under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn in the club. In the gymnasium and studio, outdoor shoes are prohibited, only suitable trainers are allowed. Swimming costumes must be worn in the pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room. Blue overshoes must be worn poolside.
- No animals are permitted in the club, other than guide dogs.
- The club will open from 07:00 – 21:00 Monday – Thursday, 07:00 – 20:00 Friday, & 08:00 – 17:00 Saturdays and Sundays.
Last entry is 30 Minutes before closing. These hours are subject to change on Bank Holidays and over Christmas, New Year, and Easter. - The club reserves the right to close facilities without prior notice should the need arise. Whenever possible advanced warning will be given.
- Members may be accompanied by a guest as per their membership T’s & C’s at any one visit, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Club Manager.
- Only adult members are permitted to sign in guests, and have to accompany them on their visit.
- A non-member guest fee of £10 is applicable for adults over 16 years of age.
- The club reserves the right to refuse admission to any guest.
- The club reserves the right to terminate membership without giving reason.
Swim Safety Rules
- All non swimmers must be accompanied by a competent swimmer.
- No more than 2 non swimmers to each competent adult swimmer.
- Non swimmers to remain in shallow end.
- All non swimmers recommended to use appropriate buoyancy aids.
- Adult non swimmers to be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer.
- Gym staff to be notified prior to being the sole swimmer in the pool.
Health & Safety
- Please shower before using the, sauna, steam, spa bath and swimming pool.
- Showering between the use of the pool and spa bath before/after the sauna and steam use is required at all times.
- Shaving or the use of facial masks, ex-foliating creams, shower creams, body lotions, scented oils, eucalyptus oils, body soaps or any form of skin cleansing treatments are strictly FORBIDDEN in the SAUNA, STEAM, SPA BATH and SWIMMING POOL.
- Prior to using the gymnasium, a Personal Health Statement must be read and signed.
- In the showers and changing rooms eating and shaving is not permitted.
- Running/ jumping/ diving or any other activity that may cause harm to other pool users is not permitted in or around the pool area.
- Members must accept responsibility for their guests and ensure that they abide by the terms of membership. Members must be with their guests at all times.
- Food and drink are not permitted on poolside or in the changing rooms.
- Alcohol is strictly forbidden poolside or in the gym.
- Glass (including face masks made from glass) and crockery is not permitted anywhere in the club other than the reception/lounge area.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the club.
- Please ensure that you have read the ‘pool rules’ signage before using the pool facilities.
- Jewellery must not be worn in the pool and long hair must be tied back.
- All members using Revival facilities must make use of a towel at all times.
- Equipment to be wiped down prior and post usage.
Children
- An adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times within the leisure club.
- Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the gymnasium.
- All children must be supervised at all times whilst on the premises.
- A non-member guest fee of £3.50 for children under the age of 15 years of age is applicable.
- There is no guest entry fee for children under the age of 5 years old.
- Children aged 8 and over are not permitted to enter the opposite sex changing rooms.
Administration
- The club management reserves the right to reject any application for membership without giving a reason.
- All members will have their photograph taken for membership confirmation which is monitored via our access control system.
- The club fees and tariffs shall be determined by the club and may be altered at any time. Members will be notified in advance of any changes.
- The club reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member without notice in the event of a member committing a serious breach of the clubs terms of membership.
- On cancellation or termination of membership, no refund will be made. (Refunds may be available subject to circumstances of membership termination).
- All members who wish to cancel their membership must do so in writing via email, an exit survey will be attached on reply which must be filled in and returned again, via email.
- No handwritten requests, phone-calls or any other means other than point 5, will be accepted regarding cancellation requests
- One (1) calender month’s notice fee is required, unless notice is given prior to the 5th of that given month.
- All freeze requests to be requested via email with supporting documentation, approval will be at management discretion.
- A maximum of two (2) months is applicable to all frozen memberships unless prior arrangement with management.
- There is a £5 monthly administration fee on Frozen memberships.
- All outstanding fees are to be paid before any cancellation or re-joining of any and all past and present memberships.
Other Terms
- Radios, Ipads, mobile phones, and the alike, amongst other items likely to cause annoyance, may not be used in the club.
- Whilst in our club, members should respect others’ personal space.
- We reserve the right to use any individual or group photographs or movie shots of you for press release or promotional purposes.
- You cannot take photos or video recordings in these restricted areas listed (poolside, sauna, steam, changing rooms, toilets).
- Where reasonably possible, we will notify you of any filming or photography taking place in club and may ask you to sign a use of image rights form to consent.
- Ball games and inflatable toys & rafts are not permitted in the pool unless incorporated into a planned children activity.
- Adhere to reasonable time regarding equipment usage, within reason, especially during peak times.
- Lockers should only be used for storage of personal belongings.
- Property is stored at the owner’s risk and the club will accept no liability for loss or damage.
- Lockers will be cleared every 24 hours and all items removed.
- The club reserves the right to dispose of any items not claimed within 4 weeks.
- The club reserves the right to amend these terms at its absolute discretion. Notification of changes will be displayed on the notice board.
Membership
- All members will pay a pro-rata subscription beginning when the member is accepted for membership and shall be payable either annually in advance or by monthly payments in which case it will be debited from the members bank account by monthly direct debit.
- An admin fee of £10 will apply for all monthly memberships upon signing up at the club.
- All members will be subject to paying the current month pro-rata including the next month’s full fee, upfront, should they sign-up after the 15th of that current month.
- There is no ‘ cooling off period ‘ regarding cancellations of all or any memberships.
- Renewal of annual memberships is due after completion of the initial 12 month period and subsequent 12 month periods thereafter.
- All annual memberships are non-refundable.
- Members are given the option to either renew their existing membership with the Terms and Conditions set out above, prevailing for further 12 month periods, or change to a different membership tariff for which a new initial contract period will apply.
- They can pay their membership fee in one annual lump sum. Where members choose to renew their existing membership, members will have the ability to cancel their membership in accordance with the cancellation clauses set out in these Terms and Conditions.
- Please note that the continuance of monthly payments to CLSP will constitute the renewal of the membership at the prevailing rate in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
